# AI findability

What the platform publishes for assistants and search engines, in which form, and what stays private.

In development The platform is in development. This page describes its design.

## Why manuals are hard for assistants to use

Assistants build answers from search indexes and from pages they fetch while they answer. A manual in a single PDF, behind a login or rendered by JavaScript is largely invisible to them.

When the official answer is missing, assistants use what they can find. That may be a forum post, a reseller page or an older model.

No one can guarantee that an assistant cites a given source. The platform is designed to improve what you control: how findable, precise and clearly official your content is.

## What each channel adds

- **Web pages**: the base. Each topic has its own page, answer first, readable without JavaScript, with structured data.
- **Video**: clear added value for physical tasks, when it matches its topic page: same title, checked subtitles, a chapter per step and a link back to the page.
- **Audio**: a feature for people, for accessibility and hands-free use. It is not how assistants find content.
- **llms.txt**: cheap to provide, with a limited effect. Some agents and developer tools use it.
- **MCP**: the most direct route. Assistants ask for the official content and get the current version and the page to cite.

## Every topic page has the same layout

1. Breadcrumb
2. Title with brand and model
3. Short, direct answer
4. Validity: models, firmware, last updated
5. Video and audio
6. What you need
7. Numbered steps, warnings at the right step
8. Troubleshooting
9. Questions and answers
10. Related topics
11. Transcript
12. Publisher

The layout of every topic page. The short answer comes first, because it is the part assistants quote most.

## What stays private

- You decide per manual or per topic what is public. Your default can be all private.
- A topic becomes public only when every source behind it is marked releasable by your administrator.
- Private topics can be reached through an authenticated MCP endpoint that uses your own sign-in, if you enable it.
- AI findability is a separate switch per procedure, on top of making it public. A public procedure is not offered to assistants until you turn it on.

## Which bots may read your pages

Search bots and bots that fetch a page because a user asked may read every public page. Whether bots that collect content for training may read them is your setting.

## What we do not promise

We do not promise rankings or citations. Optional answer checks show how assistants answer real questions over time. They report trends, not guarantees.
